At St. Werburgh's, we take the shared ministry of laity and clergy extremely seriously. Lay people are practically
involved in virtually every aspect of the ministry of the church. Groups of lay people exercise responsibility for
developing, overseeing and sustaining the specific areas of ministry of Education, Pastoral Care, Worship, Outreach
and Social Events. These groups report to the PCC, which retains the responsibility for shaping over-all policy. On
the administrative side, small committees deal with the practicalities of buildings and finance.
